Along with the release of Stampin' Up!'s January - June Mini Catalogue, comes the first Sale-A-Bration promotion of the year. For every $90+ spend, or $180+ spend, on Stampin' Up! products until the end of February, you have the opportunity to earn exclusive FREE products. (See the Sale-A-Bration brochure in the sidebar of my blog, over there →→→.)
The card I am sharing today shows off my all-time favourite free offering from Stampin' Up! It's called the Friendly Hello bundle, and it consists of a stamp set and Designer Series Paper. The colours in the papers are so pretty, and the stamp set images really versatile. One of the flower outline stamps has been stamped onto the Granny Apple Green paper at the top of the card.
I created the background for my card by cutting six of the different DSP designs, using an Ornate Layers Die. I matted them onto Basic Black card, then onto a Thick Basic White card base (after adhering the gingham ribbon).
The focal image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card. I coloured it with Stampin' Blends markers - Pool Party for the bird, Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia for the flowers, and Granny Apple Green for the branch and leaves. I used the brush tip of my Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends to draw around the outline of the stamped image, to ground it a little. The "splatter" stamp was used with Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia ink, to add fill-in detail to the background after I die-cut this piece with a Layering Circles Die.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
