STAMPIN' UP! DRAGONFLY GARDEN FOR #AYSI238

The beautiful colour challenge at As You See It Challenge has inspired me to break open my new Dragonfly Garden stamp set, and co-ordinating Dragonflies punch.  Before I talk about them, and my card, here's the gorgeous challenge graphic:

The Dragonfly Garden bundle of products will be in the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue.  Stampin' Up! demonstrators had the opportunity to purchase these products in advance of our OnStage@Home event, held this past weekend.  Whilst I had bought the stamps and punch, I didn't use them over the weekend as planned ... so decided this challenge was the perfect opportunity!  I've taken artistic liberty, and created pink dragonflies.

I stamped two dragonflies in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Whisper White card.  They were coloured with Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends markers, then coated with shimmer from my Wink of Stella glitter pen.  The Dragonflies punch makes easy work of cropping the stamped images.

My main panel is a piece of Petal Pink Designer Series Paper from the Subtles 6" x 6" paper pack.  I chose the woodgrain patterned paper, as I think the pattern, laid horizontally, complements the wavy lines on the dragonflies' wings.  In Petal Pink ink, I stamped the wildflowers from the Dragonfly Garden set.  After adhering a strip of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper across the bottom of my main panel, I embossed the whole piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

Here you can see the background stamping, on the DSP, and the Subtle embossing of the whole panel (adhered to a Basic Gray mat before being embossed).  From the Elegant Faceted Gems pack, I chose Petal Pink gems for the dragonflies' bodies, and clear gems to scatter in the background.

This photo captures the shimmer of the Wink of Stella:

The sentiment, from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, was stamped in Basic Gray ink, over the top of Petal Pink flowers stamped first on Whisper White card.  I cut out the sentiment piece using an Ornate Frames die, and sponged around the edges with Petal Pink ink.  Using glue dots, I stuck it over the top of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, from which I also made the bow.

Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products I used on my card.  I can't yet link to the Dragonfly Garden bundle in my store, as it isn't available for purchase until 5th January 2021.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
