This week's choice of colour, for using on our papercraft projects, is Mango Melody. I have always considered this colour to be a yellowy-orange, but now that I have put together a card with it, I think perhaps it's an orangey-yellow! Regardless, it's a bright, happy, colour, that I enjoyed creating with. Cathy Proctor is the co-ordinator of our weekly Colour Creations Showcases. If you go to her blog, to see how she has used Mango Melody, you will find a comprehensive list of participants in this week's share. We would love it if you visited all our blogs, and left some comment love, if you feel so inclined.
I have chosen a colour combination suggested by Stampin' Up!:
Using the Swirly Frames stamp set, I stamped overlapping circles, in all three colours, over a panel of Whisper White card. I then embossed the stamped panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
Some flowers from the Arrange A Wreath bundle were stamped in Mango Melody ink on Whisper White card, die cut, then adhered to the card before having Coastal Cabana resin dots added to the centres.
I have used a strip of Mango Melody Designer Series Paper (from the Brights 6" x 6" pack) across the middle of my card. I sponged the edges of the paper with Mango Melody ink. The stamped words in the sentiment come from the Well Said stamp set, and the die-cut word from the co-ordinating Well Written Dies. I used my dark Mango Melody Stampin' Blends marker to colour white ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season ribbon combo pack; isn't it pretty? Love all that co-ordination!
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. They are available to purchase from my online store (for Australian residents only), which is open 24/7. You can access my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
