Hello! It has been a while since my last blog post, thanks to this year being a busy year for travel for me. When I am not travelling, I am planning more travel - so card-making has taken a bit of a back seat.
I am excited to share with you some cards I have made with a lovely new stamp set called Rustic Centerpiece, just released as an Online Exclusive. It's different to any other stamp sets I've had, and I am having a lot of fun colouring the sweet images.
For this card, I have paired the Sunflower 3D embossing folder with the sunflower focal image. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake card, then used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink over the raised flowers and leaves. This panel is mounted on Basic White, and a Crumb Cake card base.
Here's a closer look at my (rather messy!) colouring of the image, using Stampin' Blends. I white heat-embossed the design on a piece of Crumb Cake card that I'd cut out using a Notes of Texture Die. I then coloured the flowers using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends. The leaves were coloured in Old Olive, the wood cut base in Crumb Cake, and the vase in Pecan Pie. I used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to colour the apples, to complement the sentiment (from Delightful Wishes) stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
Faux Glass Dots and a Linen Thread bow finish off the design on the front.
Inside the card, I added a Basic White card panel, stamped with part of the same image in Crumb Cake ink.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
Tomorrow I will share another card made with this same stamp, but using a different colouring medium.
