I've been creating with the beautiful tree from Stampin' Up!'s Twinkling Lights Dies, so expect to see several cards featuring the tree(s) in upcoming blog posts! I love that the die cuts out the tree, garland details, and embosses the die-cut piece with extra dots and stars.
The card I'm sharing tonight features an Evening Evergreen tree, with Distressed Gold paper and one of the patterns of Lights Aglow paper that I haven't used much to date. This paper evokes thoughts of dangling garlands or beads, don't you think?
After cutting a piece of Distressed Gold paper to the width of the patterned paper panel, I used a Basic Borders Die to give it a rounded and "stitched" bottom edge. I then used another of the Twinkling Lights Dies, to add two rows of "garlands", to complement the cut-out details on the tree, and the dotty pattern in the paper.
In this photo, you can better see the tree detail, and the shimmer of the gold dots on the paper behind the tree.
I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card, and cut it out using an All That Die.
Champagne rhinestones on the tree, and some Gold Shimmer Ribbon, finish off my card.
