This week's Colour Creations Showcase is all about Seaside Spray, a beautiful soft blue that is one of the In Colors retiring from Stampin' Up!'s range in early May. I will miss this gorgeous colour! Cathy Proctor co-ordinates our showcases each week. She has a list on her blog of all participants in this week's share. We hope you'll hop around all of our blogs, to see how we've incorporated Seaside Spray into our creations.
The focal point of my card this week is one of the Dandy Laser Cut Paper panels - a frame with laser-cut dragonflies inside. I used Blending Brushes with Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight inkpads, to colour the white frame. The beautifully soft bristles on our Blending Brushes make it easy to colour delicate elements like this, without ripping or warping the paper.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
Make sure you go to Cathy's blog, to see her lovely work, and to find the links to the blogs of everyone else participating in this week's Colour Creations Showcase.
Tomorrow I will share with you a second Seaside Spray card, that came about as a result of using Blending Brushes on this card. I hope you'll come back to visit.
Rachel this is the first time I've seen this laser cut paper coloured in with the blending brushes and it looks fantastic. Snap on the metallic pearls BTW! Thank you for inspiring us with your Seaside Spray creation tonight x

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. So love your card Christine. Your colouring of the Laser cut Dragonfly Frame is gorgeous and is brilliant with the silver matte. I needed to look at the pearls a second time as I had thought you had coloured them - the silver pearls go so well. Love the embossed Seaside Spray matte as well. Xxx
