STAMPIN' UP! CORNER BOUQUET CARD FOR AYSI#239

Today I have to share with you a card made for this As You See It Challenge:

I am quite averse to So Saffron, one of Stampin' Up!'s yellows.  I find it rather insipid, and uninspiring, so challenged myself to come up with something half-decent with it!

My card features one of the Sale-A-Bration freebies that will be available in January.  It's a sweet, four-stamp, set called Corner Bouquet.  I have white-embossed, on some So Saffron Designer Series Paper, one of the larger corner floral images.

Using a blending brush, I applied So Saffron ink around the embossed image (it's subtle, but it's there!).  I then stamped several times, in So Saffron ink, the tiny flower.

The leaf image on the little tab is also from Corner Bouquet.  I stamped it in (retired) Basic Black craft ink on a scrap of So Saffron card, and clear-embossed it.  I then used an Ornate Frames Die to create the tab.

The sweet little flower, stamped first and second generation, was used to simply decorate the inside of my card:

Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products I used to make my card.  I can't yet link to the Corner Bouquet stamp set, or the Many Messages bundle used to create the sentiment, as they don't become available until 5th January.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

  1. I don't use So Saffron all that much either, Christine. It looks well here though, paired up so smartly with Black. The resist embossing really suits that stamp too. Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenge.

  2. I love the texture you've created with your ink, Christine, and the little tag as well. The contrast between the So Saffron and the Black really livened it up. Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenges.
