AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 28: MISTY MOONLIGHT

In tonight's showcase, co-ordinated by Cathy Proctor, we are focussing on Misty Moonlight, THE most beautiful In Color introduced into Stampin' Up!'s range this year.  Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants in this week's share ... we hope you'll hop around all our blogs, to get inspired to use this lovely blue.

My card showcases some new products that are coming out next month, in the January - June Mini Catalogue.  I've selected three patterns of Misty Moonlight paper from the Dandy Garden DSP pack, and cut them using the smallest square in the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I adhered 12 squares to a piece of Misty Moonlight card, added a scalloped border cut with a Peony Die, and stuck these down to a Thick Whisper White card.

Would you believe that beautiful dragonfly has been punched from a piece of the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper?  No stamping or colouring required!  The only stamping on my card is the sentiment.  To make the circle piece on which I've anchored the dragonfly, I cut a Stitched Shape circle from vellum, and embossed it using the Dandelion 3D embossing folder.  I glued this to a Whisper White Stitched Shape circle of the same size, and adhered that to a Misty Moonlight scalloped circle, cut using Layering Circles Dies.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment, from Itty Bitty Greetings, stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Whisper White card, and punched out with the Classic Label punch.  I've added some silver Metallic Pearls to the dragonfly body, and either side of the sentiment.  You can also see the lovely loopy scalloped border nicely in this photo.

I have listed below the current Stampin' Up! products used on my card, but unfortunately can't yet link to the Dandy Garden DSP or Dragonflies punch.  These will be available to purchase from 5th January.  If you live in Australia and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Make sure you visit Cathy's blog to see her beautiful Misty Moonlight creation, and to get the links to everyone else's blog posts.  We hope you feel inspired by our creations!
