After making a card for last night's Colour Creations blog hop, I was inspired to create another card featuring Berry Burst. It's such a pretty colour, that I tend to overlook.
From Berry Burst Glimmer Paper (with Adhesive Sheet on the back), I die-cut some butterflies (using the Sketched Butterflies Dies) that became the dramatic, sparkly, focal point of my card. My somewhat lacklustre photography doesn't show them off to their full effect, I'm afraid!
I stamped, in Berry Burst ink, small butterflies all over the Berry Burst background panel. After sponging the edges with Berry Burst ink, I adhered it to the Thick Basic White card base.
I used a Perennial Postage Die to cut the large central panel from Basic White card. To this piece, I added Berry Burst ink with a Blending Brush, using a heavier hand at the top, and graduating the colour a bit. I then dripped water (by squeezing the barrel of my Water Painter) over the coloured piece, and added fine splatters with the brush tip of my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker (flicking the tip against the open lid). Once all this was done, I ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, using the Cute Crochet 3D embossing folder.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
