STAMPIN' UP! CUTEST ONESIE BABY CARD IN BOHO BLUE

Our Colour Creations blog hop this week is all about Boho Blue, one of Stampin' Up!'s In Colors for 2023-2025.

I decided it's a lovely blue for a baby card, so I made this card using the Cutest Onesie bundle:

I stamped the onesies on Boho Blue Designer Series Paper (from the 2023-2025 In Color 6"x6" DSP pack), using Boho Blue ink.  After cutting them out with the co-ordinating die, I sponged Boho Blue ink around the edges.

The large cloud was die-cut from Basic White Thick card, using a Bright Skies Die.  Embossing it with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder made it look a bit more baby blanket-ish, don't you think?

I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White card, then cut it out using a Happy Little Things Die.  After unravelling a single strand of Boho Blue jute trim, I created a little bow that I adhered with glue dots.  I rather like the messy, fibrous, look of it.

I cut a Thick Basic White layer, slightly smaller than the card base, to create my background.  Using a Blending Brush, I added Boho Blue ink.  I then stamped some stars and hearts, from the Cutest Onesie stamp set, using Boho Blue ink.  A couple of clouds were cut from the same DSP as I used for the onesies, using a smaller cloud die from the Bright Skies Die set.  Boho Blue ink was sponged around the edges of the clouds before I tucked them behind the large white cloud.

The tiny silver hearts were created with Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper, cut using a Forever Forest Die.  I also cut a thin sliver of the glimmer paper to add to the right-hand side of my card.  Since photographing it, I've made sure the silver strip is firmly stuck down, so there's no longer the gap you can see in this photo!

On a scrap of Basic white card, I stamped the sentiment for the inside of the card, using two stamps from Cutest Onesie.  The words were stamped in Misty Moonlight ink, and I used a Labeled With Love Die to cut them out.  After stamping some scribbly clouds in Boho Blue ink, I sponged the edges of the label with Boho Blue ink.  A couple of silver glimmery stars were added, to tie in with the design on the front of the card.

  1. Very cute baby card Christine and I’m loving the different bits on your card and the stamped and blended background. The inside sentiment looks fabulous using the two ink colours and the stamped ‘scribbly’ clouds.

Such a cute card for a baby boy and Boho Blue is the perfect colour. Well done creating that "messy" bow from the jute! Those little silver glimmer stars and the fine strips add just enough bling. I do agree that the Cane Weave embossing is similar to blanket weave. Very cute!
