STAMPIN' UP! LET'S CHAT CARD IN ORCHID OASIS

In this week's Colour Creations blog hop we are featuring Orchid Oasis, one of Stampin' Up!'s  2022-2024 In Colors.  It is a very bluish purple.  I've used this bright colour combination, to make a friendship card:

The focal image on my card was created with stamps from the new Let's Chat stamp set.  There are sentiments in this stamp set, but (in typical Christine form) I ended up using three different stamp sets in my creative process.

I had fun with a playful circles theme on this card.  The Basic White circle cut using an Everyday Details Die suits the rotary dial on the phone, don't you think?  The polka-dot Orchid Oasis Designer Series Paper was a no-brainer.  The sentiment, from Just My Type, was just perfect for what I wanted, and the small circular Stylish Shapes Die fitted right in with my theme.

After stamping the telephone in Orchid Oasis ink, and the receiver in Tahitian Tide ink, on Basic White card,  I fussy-cut the two pieces.  It was at this point that I decided to add flowery details, so out came the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies.  I stamped flowers in Tahitian Tide ink on the fussy-cut receiver.  In hindsight, I should have masked off the stamped image before adding flowers, but I think it still looks cute.

Using Melon Mambo ink, I repeatedly stamped the same flowers on a strip of Melon Mambo card.  I sponged Melon Mambo ink around the edges of this piece, and attached it the the polka-dot DSP.

I cut a few Melon Mambo flowers using Sentimental Park Dies.  The larger flower was glued to the centre of the phone's dial, and I added an Orchid Oasis Pearl.  A bow, made from Orchid Oasis Baker's Twine, was also added (because I struggle not to add ribbon or trim to a card!).

I used a stamp from Just My Type to stamp "HELLO" three times on Basic White card.  I stamped it in Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Melon Mambo inks, then used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut out the letters in the colour order I wanted to use.  Here you can also better see two of the smaller die-cut flowers used to embellish the background of my card:
