STAMPIN' UP! STIPPLED ROSES BIRTHDAY CARD IN MELON MAMBO

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Melon Mambo, which is one of Stampin' Up!'s Brights.  I don't often use this bright pink, with reddish undertones, so it was good to stretch myself out of my comfort zone!

The Stippled Roses stamp and die bundle is a new product that will be available to buy from 4th January.  I was able to get my hands on it early, so here's a sneak peek.  (Disclaimer: I do think my head was on a bit wonky when I took this photo!)

To create the background, I used a Blending Brush to add white craft ink to a panel of Basic Gray card.  I then stamped, in the same white ink, some leaves and roses from the Stippled Roses stamp set.  This layer was mounted on a slightly larger piece of Smoky Slate card.

The floral spray was stamped in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card.  I used Light Melon Mambo and Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers, and the Color Lifter, to colour the image before die-cutting it.  I'm not sure that you can see from this photo, but I painted the roses with Wink of Stella, for a bit of shimmer.

How beautifully detailed are the white die-cut leaves?  I added some Melon Mambo Glossy Dots, and Basic Rhinestones, around the focal die-cut piece.

The sentiment (from the Stipple Roses stamp set) was stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Labels Aglow die.  This label is matted on a piece of Melon Mambo card that's embossed with the Splatters 3D embossing folder.  I coloured some Silver & White Sheer Ribbon with the Light Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends marker, tied it in a bow and secured it with glue dots.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Tina Gillespie:

Because the Stippled Roses bundle is not available to purchase until 4th January (unless you're a Stampin' Up! demonstrator), I can't yet link to it in my online store.  I have, however, listed below all the current Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
