The last Colour Creations blog hop for 2023 has us all creating with Misty Moonlight, one of my favourite blues in Stampin' Up!'s range. After a little break, we will be back on 3rd January, to continue working our way through Stampin' Up!'s colours, alphabetically. (Mossy Meadow will be next.)
My card features four of the papers from the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper pack. I have used this colour combination:
Here's a closer look at the sentiment. Before die-cutting the "HOORAY!", I placed Adhesive Sheet on the back of Misty Moonlight card. When die-cut, the letters become stickers, making it super-easy to adhere them to your card, without mess.
I white heat-embossed the second part of the sentiment, on Misty Moonlight card. I used a Christmas Classics Die to cut out the label, and added Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems and In Color Dots in Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path.
I sponged Misty Moonlight ink around the edges of the Misty Moonlight papers, and Wild Wheat around the edges of the Wild Wheat paper and card, before adhering all the layers to a Thick Very Vanilla card base.
Around the card front, I wrapped a length of Misty Moonlight Inner Braid Ribbon (using the reverse side, so the white braiding is not obvious). I then knotted some Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon around it, and secured both pieces with glue dots. A few more gems were added to the bottom third of the card.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Andrea Sargent:

If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below. I've listed all the current products used on my card, but can't yet link to the dies or stamp set used to make the sentiment on my card. They will be available from 4th January.
Love your sneak peeks of the Mini Alphabet Dies, and Notes of Nature stamp set, Christine and the way you've combined these DSPs together. You really are the queen of masculine cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mix of papers, Christine! I love the sneak peek of the Mini Alphabet Dies - they are on my 'will I or won't I?' list!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card Christine, I love your different stripes of DSP with the Alphabet HOORAY at the top. I'm not too keen on Wild Wheat but I really like it on your card
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what brilliant use of DSPs for this masculine card, Christine. I love how you used the Mini Alphabet letters and that white embossed sentiment is perfect!
