Tonight's blog hop is shining a light on Pool Party, a pale greeny-blue in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.
The paper in the Friendly Hello bundle, one of the free products* offered during Sale-a-Bration (running until 16th March in Australia and New Zealand), has some beautiful Pool Party designs. One of them forms the background of my card. I have used the flower stamps from the free bundle, also, stamping them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and colouring them with with Stampin' Blends before fussy-cutting them.
I have used a few new-to-me products on my card. The sentiment, stamped in Versamark ink on Basic Black card, then heat-embossed in white, is from the Lucky You stamp set. I used a Tasteful Labels Die to cut it out. The sweet "ticket" border in Basic Black was cut using a die from the Sports Event Dies. I white heat-embossed hearts, from the Lucky You stamp set, on the strip of tickets, then adhered it above a Pool Party scalloped border cut using Scalloped Contours Dies.

Christine, you are so creative with the way you mix your products. I would never have thought to use those ticket dies as a border and stamp on them, but they look great. Such a wonderful monochromatic colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteIt’s great seeing these new products used on your card, especially the strip of tickets. I was saying to a friend today that the dies were worth getting, even without the stamps. Love the hearts stamped across to echo the sentiment.A very sweet card Christine.
ReplyDeleteI love how you've combined such different products to create this beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Christine and fabulous use of different products to create multiple areas of interest.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Christine. The monochromatic use of different Pool Party elements with touches of black are cleverly combined. And Christine, I have been trying hard to resist the ticket dies - oh dear, oh dear - my resolve is dissolving. Xxx
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card my dear. I love how you manage to think outside the obvious when you create for example using the ticket die and adding the cute little hearts and then also adding the scalloped border underneath. Everything comes together beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Christine. I love the extra "new to you" products you've used and new to me too (as I hadn't even noticed them in the catalogue)! The little row of black tickets with the white hearts is a cute addition.
ReplyDeleteI love the fun ticket element with the embossed hearts Christine, it’s very sweet. A gorgeous Pool Party project with lots of lovely die cuts in addition to your fussy cut flowers.
