STAMPIN' UP! DAHLIA DAYS WEDDING CARD IN PETAL PINK

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is highlighting Petal Pink.

I have had my first play with the new Dahlia Days bundle, and created a wedding card ... that I think really could be used for any occasion prompting congratulations.

I have teamed Petal Pink with Cinnamon Cider and Very Vanilla.  My tendency is to pair Petal Pink with greys, but because of its yellow undertones I think it works well with this brown.

In this close-up photo, you can see that on the Petal Pink mat, I repeatedly stamped tiny flowers in Petal Pink ink.  The die-cut overlay is beautifully detailed, and is enhanced by the addition of stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves.  Petal Pink Elegant Faceted Gems adorn some of the flower centres.

I stamped the sentiment, from Slim Sayings, in Cinnamon Cider ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card.  After stamping, I embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  A bow made from Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon was added as a finishing touch.

Inside the card, I added a Very Vanilla layer.  At the bottom of this piece, I stamped a couple of the foliage stamps from Dahlia Days, in both Petal Pink and Cinnamon Cider inks.
