STAMPIN' UP! SEASIDE NOTIONS BIRTHDAY CARD IN PINK

After making a few Seaside Notions cards in blues, and traditional "sea" colours, I decided to think outside the square, and make a bold Melon Mambo creation.  Pink, white and silver look great together, don't you think?

When creating the Melon Mambo panel, I started off just stamped the shells in Melon Mambo ink.  It looked a bit boring, so I added "sand" stamped in Memento Black ink, then coral stamped off in black.  Because I struggle to not keep adding more, I went on to emboss the panel with the Subtle embossing folder .... and sprayed the whole piece with a mix of Frost White shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol.  Here's a closer look:

The sentiment oval has a textured pink background, courtesy of Bokeh Dots stamped onto Whisper White card, in Melon Mambo ink (I used a sponge dauber to apply the ink to the stamp, rather than using the stamp direct to the inkpad).  I love how the black and grey Designer Series Paper tones down the brightness of this card; I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out!

I have listed below all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, and if you live in Australia, I would love for you to shop with me.  You can access my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
