This is the colour combination that makes up the first challenge over at Global Design Project:
So Saffron is one of my least favourite colours, so I've included only a touch of it, on a couple of tiny flowers. I love how Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette look together; for my card, I've gone all flowery and girly.
It's a bit hard to see, but I stamped tiny flowers on the Pink Pirouette die cut. The sentiment and surrounding flowers were all coloured, direct to rubber, with my Stampin' Write markers, which gives a more subtle colour intensity than if I had used inkpads.
Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products used to make this card; you'll be taken direct to my online store, if you click on any of the thumbnail images. NB: The stamp set I used may be earned for free with Stampin' Rewards, with a qualifying order, only (so the price is just indicative).
This is so lovely Christine! The colours have come up perfect with this stamp you have chosen. So excited to see you play along with the new GDP. Thank you for supporting us with our first challenge!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Christine, love the soft stamping on the pink card too, just subtly sets it off, thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteHey Christine, this card is looking good but ALL your cards look good. I hear you on the so Saffron, I very rarely use it and I would normally go to Blushing Bride over Pink Pirouette.
ReplyDeleteChristine, you have balanced these colors so well in your design. I love the Pink Pirouette stamping on the pink border, it adds just enough texture there. Thanks for joining us at Global Design Project.
ReplyDeleteSo many favourites all on one card! I can never have enough pink in my life, plus one of my favourite stamp sets and seam binding. It's a total winner! So glad you could play along with us all!

Christine - this piece of floral paper from the Designer Series Paper Stack gives the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous sentiment. Love the layering. Thank you for playing along with this week's Global Design Project color challenge!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice surprise to see you name Christine! Thank you so much for supporting the Global Design Project.
ReplyDeleteEverything you create is always lovely Christine and this is no exception. I love the softness and elegance of this card, just beautiful. Lou xo
