No doubt lots of you have Valentine's Day on your mind, but I don't! I'm a bit "Valentine's Schmalentine's" ... not for lack of trying on my part, it's a non-event in our household ( I do persist in giving all three of my boys cards). So, I have used cute pink polka-dot hearts on a birthday card instead.
I am rather in love with the glossy black heart (close-up below), created by punching a little heart from Basic Black cardstock, and covering it with an epoxy sticker:

Beautiful translation of the inspiration pictures, Christine! Also is a great idea for an alternative use of what might be considered a single holiday stamp set. Very sweet (and I love your black epoxy heart too!).

ReplyDeleteValentine's is a non event in my house too as far as hubby is concerned. But I always get the girls and him a little something and this year I managed to sneak a card into his suitcase before he left with a little chocolate heart inside :)
Oh I love, love, love this card Christine! I'm loving that embossed white background - it really sets off your hearts. I agree with the whole Valentine's Day thing - can't even really be bothered with the whole who-ha!
ReplyDeleteValentine's is a bit of a non event in our house too but I always package up a little box of choccie goodness for each of the children - they love it. Love the part embossed card you've created, and that little black centre piece is gorgeous. x
