JAI #252: YOUR PERFECT DAY

We have a sketch challenge at Just Add Ink this week.  Kim has created the sketch below, which I found rather challenging - anything 'tilted' scares me!  But, I rose to the challenge, and at the same time inked up my new Your Perfect Day stamp set.

JAI #251: GIFTS OF KINDNESS 'THANK YOU' CARD

Patrice has set this week's Just Add Ink challenge, to "Just Add ... Thank You" to a papercraft project.

My love affair with Stampin' Up!'s Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper continues!  I've paired Sahara Sand with Pink Pirouette for today's card, and just love the soft colour combo.

The tiny epoxy heart that anchors the sentiment has been coloured using the darkest of the three Pink Pirouette Blendabilities.  I did try using the lighter colours, but found the saturation of colour wasn't dark enough - I think I should have been a bit more patient, though, and let the colours develop, as this pink is a bit darker than I would've liked!  I'll know for next time. :)

PINK PIROUETTE STACKED WITH LOVE CARD

I had a lot of fun today, customising some Designer Series Paper from the Stacked With Love paper stack (in the Occasions Catalogue).  Here is the piece of paper I started with:

Using Pink Pirouette Blendabilities (Stampin' Up!'s fabulous alcohol markers), I coloured the hearts with all three shades - Light, Medium and Dark.  Here's what the paper then looked like:

How cute is that??!!  I wanted to make a sweet, simple, card to showcase the paper.  Here is what I came up with - not a spot of stamping involved!

I love this card, and hope you do, too.  I can see myself having all sorts of fun with the black and white patterned paper in this paper stack.
