I am a huge fan of red, but haven't been using it a lot on my cards lately, so I decided to make a bold, elegant Mother's Day card, using Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Apothecary Art stamp set. I used my Stampin' Write markers to colour the image, and combined two sentiments from the fabulous For My Family stamp set, to stamp on the banner.
Stamps: Apothecary Art, For My Family
Card: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Real Red textured, Whisper White
DSP: Real Red Patterns Designer Series Paper
Ink: Crumb Cake stampin' pad, Jet Black Staz-On inkpad, Real Red stampin' pad and marker, Cherry Cobbler marker, Old Olive and Always Artichoke markers
Other: Basic Black satin ribbon, Pinking Hearts border punch, Labels Collection Framelits dies, sponge daubers, Basic Rhinestones (coloured with a black permanent marker), stampin' dimensionals, mini glue dots
Seriously stunning - I love the rich red flowers :)
ReplyDeleteLove this card and stamp set (as you can tell with my JAI entry this week!). I like how you combined the two sentiments on your greeting and that beautiful black bow just sets of your card so well.
ReplyDeleteWow, after seeing this stamp coloured with pastel tonings so often, the red creates a stunning effect. This is a beautiful Mother's Day card, Christine
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Christine. Love the sentiment and the bold colours.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Christine. I love the way you've coloured the flowers and that bow and hearts border are absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove the rich red offset by the big black bow Christine yet it's always the perfect little details that you add to your cards that I find my eye drawn to & this card is no exception with it's fine black mat, dainty heart border, black rhinestones & the tiny red edge on your scroll ... total perfection! Hugs :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeously rich and striking Christine. Love the pinking hearts detail at the bottom and that big black bow :)
