STAMPIN' UP! HAND-DRAWN BLOOMS GLIMMER BOUQUET IN PINK AND YELLOW

I'm loving Stampin' Up!'s Rainbow Glimmer Paper; it's such a bright, happy, addition to a card.  I used the large bouquet die in the Hand-Drawn Blooms bundle, to cut the centrepiece out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  I wanted the yellow and orange at the top, and pinks at the bottom, of the bouquet, to contrast with the Artistry Blooms paper that has the pinks at the top, graduating down to orange/yellow at the bottom.

After cutting the sentiment banners out of Whisper White card, and stamping the sentiment, I adhered them with Fast Fuse+ (strong adhesive) to the glimmer paper.  As I flipped the piece over, to apply adhesive to the back, I smeared blue ink from my work surface grid paper onto the sentiment.  No worries - a couple of strategically-placed die-cut flowers helped conceal the potential disaster!

You can see a little of my boo-boo just above the word Grateful, but if I hadn't pointed it out, would it have been noticeable?  I like to think the lovely bright colours would be distracting!

STAMPIN' UP! PRIZED PEONY CARD FOR PP505

It is a few YEARS since I joined in an online card challenge.  The current sketch challenge at The Paper Players has broken the drought!  I really like this layout:

I instantly thought of the beautiful Peony Garden papers, and adhered three of the different patterned pieces to a Whisper White panel.  The top right panel is a Petal Pink subtly flecked paper that reminds me of musk lollies ... anyone else, in Australia/New Zealand?  I have used Petal Pink ink, and second-generation stamping, to stamp peonies over that piece.  After I'd mounted all three paper pieces to some card, I embossed the panel with my Subtle 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment panel is a piece of Whisper White card, cut using the Switched So Sweetly dies.  I subtly stamped the diamond-pattern stamp, from Prized Peony, in Petal Pink ink, after stamping off onto scrap paper first each time I inked it.  I then stamped the words in Gray Granite ink.

I really enjoyed working with a different layout to my tried and true "norms".  Especially with so much extra time in my craft room these days (we're in lockdown in Melbourne, until mid-September), I think I need to start participating in some more challenges, to think outside the box, creatively.

STAMPIN' UP! HAND-DRAWN BLOOMS HELLO CARD #2 IN BLUES

While I had out the supplies to make yesterday's card, I created a second card in the same colours, but with a few differences.

The lovely big scripty sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  I've mounted the stitched circle on a scalloped circle of Crushed Curry card.  The matching resin dots are from the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots pack.  The rhinestones in the die-cut flower centres are Holiday Rhinestones.

It's a little hard to see in the photo above, but after I had stamped the line image flowers in Night of Navy ink, around the edges of the paper, I embossed the panel with my Subtle 3D embossing folder.  You can see the texture better here:
