STAMPIN' UP! FEELS LIKE HOME "MISSING YOU" CARD

Whilst creating with Cherry Cobbler for last night's Colour Creations blog hop, I pulled out a new stamp set that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  This promotional period just started, and runs until the end of September.  If you purchase $90 worth of Stampin' Up! product, the Feels Like Home stamp set is one you can earn for free.

I have kept the sketchy image simple, just stamped in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card.  I added some colour to the door surround and the wall, using Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, and highlighted the door using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends.

My card base is Smoky Slate, and I have added some Cherry Cobbler Designer Series Paper, matted on a thin layer of Cherry Cobbler card.  The focal stamped image, cut out using a Stitched So Sweetly Die, is mounted on a strip of Cherry Cobbler card that has been embossed with a Dotty Hearts embossing folder.

The sentiment, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on a scrap of Basic White card, was cut out using another Stitched So Sweetly Die.  I used a Tasteful Labels Die to cut the Smoky Slate DSP flagged piece the sentiment sits on.  Some Holiday Rhinestones add a bit of bling.

If you're a regular follower of my blog, you'll know that I like to custom-colour ribbon to match my projects.  For this card, I used the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker, to colour some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon - another beautiful product just released in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalogue:

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

STAMPIN' UP! DELICATE BAUBLES CHRISTMAS CARD - CHERRY COBBLER

This week's colour focus, for our Colour Creations blog hop, is Cherry Cobbler.  It is a dark red, that I like to use on Christmas cards.  Because I'm in the thick of creating Christmas cards, that is what I will be sharing with you tonight.

My card has been created with some new dies and papers, that have just come out in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalogue.  There is no stamping on this card - it's all about the colour, and the beautiful intricate detail on the die-cut bauble!

To a Thick Basic White card base, I added a layer of Cherry Cobbler card.  On top of this are two panels of patterned paper from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper pack.

There are two of each bauble shape in the Delicate Baubles Die set - one (in this case, the Basic White layer) cuts out a solid, slightly larger, shape, and the other (the Cherry Cobbler) a smaller, intricate, die cut piece that mats beautifully on the solid shape.  The hanging bow is cut from Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Paper, and snipped at the top with Paper Snips.

A few Gilded Gems finish off my simple card design.

I have made a second card featuring Cherry Cobbler, and will share it on my blog tomorrow.  I hope you'll come back to see it!

STAMPIN' UP! HEART OF CHRISTMAS - WEEK 5

Every Monday night, a group of us from the Art With Heart team in Australia shares our Christmas creations using Stampin' Up! products.

Last week I shared my first card made with the Words of Cheer bundle, that comes out tomorrow in the new Mini Catalogue.  Tonight's card was made with some of the other products from the very versatile bundle.

I started off by stamping the large poinsettia spray image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card.  I coloured the flowers, berries and some of the foliage, using Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends markers. I wanted to use Garden Green for the holly leaves; as we don't have this green in Stampin' Blends, I used my Garden Green Stampin' Write marker.  The coloured image was then cut out using a die from the bundle.

I love the layering word dies in the Words of Cheer bundle.  Last week I used the vertical "cheer", and tonight it's the turn of the horizontal "happy".  I cut the word from Cherry Cobbler card, and the matting layer (with sprigs) from Sahara Sand card, to complement the colour in the background paper.  The patterned paper (with a look of birch) is from the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper pack, that can be earned for free from tomorrow, when Sale-A-Bration starts.

I stamped the word "Christmas" in Garden Green ink on Basic White card, and cropped it using a sweet sentiment label die from the Hydrangea Dies.

My ribbon treatment is a combination of Fine Art Ribbon (laid across the card front), and the new Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon, available from tomorrow.

The next person on tonight's blog hop is Sharon Davern.  If you click on the button below, you'll be taken to her blog.

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s Host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop, Rachel Woollard.  Rachel has on her blog a comprehensive list of all participants in this week's blog hop.

Because I have used mostly new products (coming out tomorrow) on my card, I can't yet link to them in my online store.  I have, however, listed below all the current products I used.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
