STAMPIN' UP! DELIGHTFUL WISHES CARDS IN MOODY MAUVE

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Moody Mauve, one of the 2023-2025 In Colors in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.

I found this colour combination on Helen Read's blog, and decided to create a couple of cards with it and the new Delightful Wishes bundle.

CARD #1:

I love the sentiment options in the Delightful Wishes bundle.  I stamped "wishing" in Moody Mauve ink on Basic White card, and cut it out using one of the dies.  The rest of the sentiment was stamped in Pebbled Path ink, on Basic White card, and cut out with the sentiment label die from the bundle.

The Gray Granite paper in the background of this card is from the Lily Pond Lane DSP pack.  Using Gray Granite ink, I repeatedly stamped some fine script - a stamp from Elements of Text.  I sponged the edges of this paper with Gray Granite ink before adhering it to a Pebbled Path card layer.

The Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dots are Gray Granite, despite looking a bit brown in this photo.

A few stamps from Delightful Wishes were used to create the floral spray.  On Basic White card, I first stamped the Moody Mauve shadow detail of the flowers.  Bubble Bath ink was used to overstamp the flowers, and Pebbled Path ink for the stems.  Lastly, I added leaves using Gray Granite ink.

I cut out the focal piece with a Grow With Love Die.  A second die-cut piece, in Moody Mauve, was cut in half vertically and each piece added to a side to provide a bit of colour between the floral label and the Moody Mauve Designer Series Paper behind it.

The embellishments added to this piece are Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls, coloured with my Dark Moody Mauve Stampin' Blends Marker, and a bow made from Moody Mauve Jute Trim.

CARD #2:

The Gray Granite Designer Series Paper in the background is another piece from the Lily Pond Lane DSP pack.  I sponged the edges with Gray Granite ink before matting it on a panel of Gray Granite card.

I stamped the sentiment, from Unbounded Love, in Versamark ink on a strip of Moody Mauve card.  White embossing powder was sprinkled over the words, and melted with a heat gun.

For this card, I coloured Antique Pearls with my Dark Moody Mauve Stampin' Blends Marker.  The bow is my new favourite White Woven Ribbon.

The floral spray was created in the same way as on my first card.  The Moody Mauve DSP behind the floral label is another pattern from the 2023-2025 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack.

  3. Christine, I love this colour combination so much and both of your cards are gorgeous. It's lovely to see the Lilypond Lane DSP used with the other DSP and the stamping of the Elements of Text onto the DSP too. I can't chose a favourite card!
