The colour we're focussing on, for this week's Colour Creations blog hop, is Sahara Sand. This neutral is not dissimilar to Crumb Cake, but is a little more grey.
I have again taken inspiration from an item in my house - this tissue box:
I like the woodgrain background, the hexagons, and the soft blue and green that I might not otherwise have thought to put together. Here is what I came up with, using Stampin' Up! products, and the colours Sahara Sand, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam and Night of Navy:

I love the navy hexagons and how you threaded the sentiment through it. Wonderful textures using background stamps and the inked embossing folder. I am always in awe of your masculine cards, Christine!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a clever idea, Christine, and what a wonderful masculine card this design makes. You've perfectly "CASED" your tissue box!
ReplyDeleteThat’s a great card Christine, I love that you got your inspiration from a tissue box
ReplyDeleteA great geometric card, amazing where you can find inspiration Christine.
ReplyDeleteInspiration comes from unexpected places. Love your hexagon design with the various textures. Great fellas card Christine. Xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat card Christine. Really interesting use of the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I really like how you have threaded the sentiment through the hexagon too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have been using items around the home for your inspiration. Soft Sea Foam is not a colour I would have chosen to coordinate with Sahara Sand but adding in the Navy it all comes together beautifully. As always it's the little details with your cards and in this case the stamping of the hexagons.
