This week's Colour Creations blog hop is focussing on
Shaded Spruce, a bright, bold green in Stampin' Up!'s Regals colour family.
My favourite Pierced Blooms Dies are retiring when our current Annual Catalogue finishes at the beginning of May. I LOVE these dies, and feel pretty sad about them leaving Stampin' Up!'s range. A little bouquet of flowers forms the focal point of my card, against a Stitched Greenery background.
Because of the intensity of this green, I have used lots of white and black in my card design. A few pops of Bumblebee help to lighten it a little. Here's a close-up of some of the gorgeous detail provided by the Stitched Greenery Die, and the Pierced Blooms Dies:
I used a Scalloped Contours Die to cut a gingham panel, from Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon was used to make the little bow.
The only stamping on my card is the sentiment, from Many Happenings. I used Shaded Spruce ink to stamp it on Basic White card, and the Messages Die to cut it out. Mini Stampin' Dimensionals raise the sentiment above the flower stems, and a couple of Holiday Rhinestones add a finishing touch:
