STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN CARDINAL CARD IN RED & VANILLA

I chose the colour scheme for today's card (Real Red and Very Vanilla) based on the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper I was planning to use.  As it turned out, I used only a small panel of the striped paper ... but I love the colours together, with some gold injected into the mix.

The sweet little cardinal image is a stamp from Christmas Countdown.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Very Vanilla card, then coloured it using Stampin' Blends.  The patterned panel on which I've mounted the stitched oval was created by repeatedly stamping another stamp from Christmas Countdown, on Very Vanilla card in Real Red ink.  The gold glimmer foliage is from Frosted Frames dies (cut down, to selectively use just the pieces I wanted).  Don't you just love the elegance of the Stylish Scroll embossed background?
