I was inspired by the stripes in the candy canes and lollies, and by the deep red and (what look to me to be) silver baubles on the Christmas tree.
I inked my Brushstrokes background stamp with Whisper White craft ink, and stamped it onto a panel of Cherry Cobbler card. I used my heat tool to dry the ink (it's slow-drying pigment ink, which is the arch nemesis of an impatient crafter!), then stamped baubles in Cherry Cobbler ink right over the top. I like how subtle the stripes are - not the look I was originally going for, but it works for me!
Lots of Joy is my new favourite Christmas stamp set; I can see myself reaching for it often for my cards this year. Here's my creation for this week's challenge:
