In our upcoming Holiday Catalogue is some gorgeous, cardstock-weight, Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is great for making boxes and other 3-D items. After I'd spent a few hours playing with this paper, making sweet little boxes for an upcoming Stampin' Up! workshop, I had an idea that thankfully translated just as I wanted it to, on paper!
One side of these cardstock-weight sheets has white embossed patterns. I decided to stamp some little houses, using the Holiday Home stamp set, on the embossed paper and colour them with Blendabilities. I just LOVE the translucent result - isn't this cute?
Here's one I stamped onto a scrap of DSP that has a Garden Green herringbone print. I coloured over the top with Blendabilities:
Here are the cards I made using these little houses, and based on my favourite layout from yesterday.
Stamps: Holiday Home (avail. 28/8)
Card: Garden Green, Whisper White
DSP: Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack, Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper (both avail. 28/8)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake stampin' pads, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Blendabilities, White Chalk pen
Other: Homemade Holiday framelits, Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon, Modern Label punch, sponge dauber, Lucky Stars embossing folder, glue dots
...... and a slightly more "rustic" design, bringing in more browns:
Stamps: Holiday Home (avail. 28/8)
Card: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
DSP: Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper (avail. 28/8)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake stampin' pads, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Blendabilities, White Chalk pen

Your little houses are so cute! Love what you have done with them using the blendabilities pens.
ReplyDeleteLove these cards as well as those from yesterday's post. Fun idea to stamp and color on the dsp. Don't you love the sturdy weight? Thanks for the bd wishes, my friend!
