I've used my Woodgrain background stamp, from Stampin' Up!, and have gone to town with Gumball Green! I did stamp the Woodgrain on the patterned paper, but it didn't show up (you might just have to take my word for that one).

DSP: Print Poetry Designer Series Paper stack
Ink: Gumball Green stampin' pad, Jet Black Staz-On inkpad

I must give credit to my friend Leanne, for suggesting I use a black sentiment ticket in the centre - doesn't it look fabulous? I just love how it stands out.
Make sure you check out the rest of the samples created by the Design Team; there are some VERY cool ideas to inspire you!
I do love the ticket idea Christine and good call by Leanne to add black, it's a very striking colour combination. Your woodgrain looks 3D, l thought you had used the folder until l read your post. Another lovely Christine card. xxx
ReplyDeleteGumball green looks fabulous with a woodgrain stamp! I was completely stumped with this woodgrain challenge until I gave up on a card and went with a tag (less area to work out what to do with the woodgrain!). LOVE the black tag sentiment - it really does add that something extra. I have never thought of combining GG with BB, but it makes for a lovely fresh combo! I can't wait for our trip - counting down the days now….
ReplyDeleteI love that this has a rustic but really fresh feel too Christine. The black accents do really add that zing factor! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love your card,it realy is a nice colour combo.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job with this card, Christine! Those tickets across the front are such a fun addition.
ReplyDeleteOh Christine I just love the colour choice for this card!! I really like the subtle use of the woodgrain for this one :)
