So, I decided I wanted to incorporate butterflies on my card. I really made this one hard on myself, I think! I toiled for ages to come up with something that my stubborn mind was happy with (since I wouldn't let myself make that male card that the colours were screaming out for). We have just returned from a couple of days away, and I made a card .... of course by the time I'd made it, the light outside was fading, so here is the poor photograph of the end result!
Stamps: All A Flutter, Because I Care
Card: Crumb Cake
DSP: Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Bashful Blue Patterns Designer Series Papers
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake stampin' pads
Other: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Night of Navy 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, sponge dauber, mini glue dot, stampin' dimensionals
Here is the first card I made, that I decided was a reject, but that I don't mind so much ... I just think the whole orange thing is not working on it.
Stamps: En Francais, Medallion, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Butterfly Prints
Card: Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie
DSP: Sweet & Sour Designer Series Paper
Ink: Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy stampin' pads, Versamark inkpad
Other: Clear embossing powder, Beautiful Wings embosslits, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Basic Rhinestones, paper snips, stampin' dimensionals, sponge dauber
I Love the colour combo... The Reject is just gorgeous, love how the Pumpkin Pie stands out... would it be ok to case it please? :) x
ReplyDeleteLove them both, Christine, but especially that first one. That colour combo would have defeated me but you have pulled it off brilliantly!
ReplyDeleteYour reject certainly doesn't look like a reject! I do LOVE your first card though. Into my CASE file it goes :o)
ReplyDeleteYou have been so busy that I have lots to catch up on here.

ReplyDeleteYou alway do something with a colour challenge that would be may last thought!!! Well done, you clever little thing!

Love your first card especially, Christine. It is such a great colour combo that you should give into the boy card that is screaming to get out and give us male-challenged ones some more inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat really beautiful cards and the color combination is outstanding too! I couldn't pick!
ReplyDeleteWOW both cards are AWESOME!!! Thanks for playing along in the Color Round Up! Congrats you won!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlorious Christine! Absolutely stunning design & bravo for you on not giving in to the option of creating a male card. We would have missed out on this beauty! :)
