STAMPIN' UP! JUST MY TYPE IN BLUES

I am loving the blues in Stampin' Up!'s colour range at the moment.  On today's card, I have used Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy, and gorgeous Countryside Inn Designer Series Papers.

I stamped the typewriter in Boho Blue ink on Basic White card, and the typewriter paper in Misty Moonlight.  I then masked off (using Post-it Notes) the folded corner of the paper image, and the bar of the typewriter, and stamped "for you" three times in Night of Navy ink.   After removing the masks, I fussy-cut the image, and added a little heart in Fresh Freesia ink, after stamping it off once onto scrap paper.  I did this to give a lighter stamped impression.

Using Night of Navy ink, I stamped several flowers.  I coloured them using Stampin' Blends markers in Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight and Bubble Bath, then fussy-cut them.  I added gems to the centres of the flowers - Tinsel Gems Three Pack to the Fresh Freesia flowers, Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the Daffodil Delight flowers, and an Ombre Matte Decorative Dot to the Bubble Bath flower.

Hopefully you can see in the close-up photos that I used a Stitched With Whimsy Die to add some frame detail to the Night of Navy DSP in the background.

I cut a strip of the striped Boho Blue and white paper from the Countryside Inn pack, and stamped flowers and leaves across it, in Night of Navy ink.  I coloured these images with Stampin' Blends markers in Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight.

STAMPIN' UP! TRUCKING ALONG CAJUN CRAZE BIRTHDAY CARD

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is focussing on Cajun Craze.

The starting point for my card was the Dry Brushed Metallic Designer Series Paper that I've had for a while, but never used.  I have teamed it with the Trucking Along bundle that I am having so much fun creating with at the moment.  Cajun Craze is a great colour for the cute truck, don't you think?

I heat-embossed the truck in black, on Thick Very Vanilla card, before colouring it with Stampin' Blends markers - Cajun Craze for the truck, Smoky Slate for the windows, bumpers and hubcabs, and Basic Black for the tyres.  I like to use Thick Very Vanilla card if colouring with Stampin' Blends.

The balloons are from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set.  I used Stampin' Write markers to colour directly to the rubber, before stamping onto Very Vanilla card.  The balloons are Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake, and I used Basic Black for the strings.  I fussy-cut around them, and attached them to the metallic paper before gluing down the truck.

I chose to add gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to the wheels, to complement the gold in the background paper.

Check out the fun texture on my "road", courtesy of a Geometric Patterns embossing folder:

The sentiment is also from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Very Vanilla card that I'd die-cut with a Stylish Shapes circle.  The stars, from the Alphabest stamp set, were then stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the circle.
