JAI #315 : A SKETCH CHALLENGE, AND A MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

Tina has come up with a sketch, for our challenge at Just Add Ink this week:

I used the sketch for my brother's birthday card ... and, as I was rather organised in having this card made early for the challenge (even if late for my brother's special day!), I've used a few products that retired from Stampin' Up!'s range at the end of May.   The Farmers' Market Designer Series Paper, white Jute Ribbon, and Circles framelits are now all retired.

The colours on my card are:

Sahara Sand

Very Vanilla

Basic Black

STAMPIN' UP! SWIRLY BIRD IN PEEKABOO PEACH

One of my "must have" bundles from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue was the Swirly Bird stamp set, and co-ordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  So cute.

JAI #314 : INSPIRATION PIC ... STAMPIN' UP! NEW IN COLORS

This week at Just Add Ink we have an inspiration pic, full of rich, jewel, tones, to get your creative juices going.

I can see Peekaboo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum, in this pic.  Those colours, and the oval fruits, inspired my card (on which I've added some black, and taken a rather liberal interpretation of the splash of green in the photo):
