JAI #241: STAMPIN' UP!'S GOLD SOIREE CONGRATULATIONS CARD

Just Add Ink's challenge this week, set by Tina, is to make a card or other papercraft project using this sketch:

My card features Stampin' Up!'s Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The only stamping is the sentiment ... which is rather a huge departure from my habitual use of several stamp sets on one card!

The table below shows all the products used to make this card.  If you click on any of the images, you'll be taken to my online store, and can buy them to make your own. :)

Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's creations; love their work!

JAI #240: JUST ADD TEXTURE

This week at Just Add Ink, Chantell has challenged us to add texture to our papercraft projects.

I have chosen to use dry-embossing - a quick, clean, way of adding texture and interest to a card.  I dug out my rather neglected Mosaic embossing folder, and started off embossing a piece of card that I'd stamped with a clear block (with the same colours as I used on this card).  I then embossed a larger piece of Whisper White card, turned it over, and lined up the embossed pattern on the focal piece, with the debossed pattern on the larger piece.  I was quite happy with myself, for managing to make that work!

My card today is a simple one; I wanted the focus to be on the colours, and the embossing.

There are lots of ways to add texture to a card or scrapbook page, and you can get some more ideas from the Just Add Ink Design Team samples.

All of the Stampin' Up! products I used, to make this card, are shown below.  If you click on any of the images, you'll be taken directly to my online store.

MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD, USING JAI #239 COLOURS

Tomorrow my darling Jack turns 19.  I have already shared his birthday card here (there's not much danger of him looking on Mum's blog!), but I so loved the colour challenge at Just Add Ink this past week that I used the same colours for another special young man's birthday card.  Here's a very different 'look', using Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, and Gold:

Below you can see all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you click on the product images, you'll be taken to my online store.
