STAMPIN' UP! DELIGHTFUL WISHES CARD WITH EVERYDAY ARCHES

I haven't been making cards these past few weeks, as I have developed an obsession with colouring in.  It was my favourite pastime as a child, and I have picked it up again.  Not one to do things by halves, I have bought six colouring books (to add to my collection of probably six others!), and lots of markers.

I do, however, have a few Delightful Wishes cards to share with you.  This is one of my favourite suites in Stampin' Up!'s current Mini Catalogue.  It works beautifully with the gorgeous Everyday Arches Dies.

For this card, I used a Very Vanilla card base, and three of the patterned papers from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper pack.  The two textured-looking background papers are matted on a layer of Lemon Lolly card.  I cut the floral piece using an Everyday Arches Die.

This pic shows some of the details more clearly.  I stamped "wishing" in Daffodil Delight ink on Very Vanilla card, before cutting it out with the co-ordinating die.  The rest of the sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink on Very Vanilla card, and cut out using the sentiment label die in the Delightful Wishes bundle.

The three larger flowers were stamped in Lemon Lolly ink on Very Vanilla card, with detail added using Daffodil Delight ink.  I sponged the edges in Lemon Lolly ink, after die-cutting them.  The smaller flowers were die-cut from Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight card.  Antique Pearls were added to the flower centres.   The two Antique Pearls added to the Lemon Lolly flowers have been coloured using the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends Marker - using the brush tip, I dabbed on the colour, to give a tortoiseshell effect.

The double bow (adhered with Mini Glue Dots) was made with Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon.
