STAMPIN' UP! EVERYDAY DETAILS GET WELL CARD IN SWEET SORBET

This week, a group of us - all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia - are sharing our papercraft creations featuring Sweet Sorbet.  This bright, happy, pinkish red is one of the five In Colors that is about to retire from Stampin' Up!'s colour range at the end of April.

As a "last hurrah", I've used a few retiring items on my card.  The Everyday Details stamp set is not carrying over into the new catalogue coming out in May (but thankfully the awesome dies are).  I have used Designer Series Paper, adhesive-backed embellishments, and baker's twine that will be available only until the end of April.  You'll find them in the Last Chance Products category of my online store.

The bright and happy background on my card was created with two patterned papers from the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper pack.  I sponged the edges with Sweet Sorbet ink before matting them on a layer of Pool Party card.

I stamped the lovely scripty sentiment, from Sweetly Scripted, on a strip of Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  This stamp set is one of Stampin' Up!'s Online Exclusive products, which means you won't find it in a catalogue - but it is available to purchase from my online store.

The floral arrangement, from Everyday Details, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and cut out using an Everyday Details Die.  I used Stampin' Blends to colour the focal image - Sweet Sorbet and Daffodil Delight for the flowers, Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves, and Pool Party for the vase.

To the centres of the larger three Sweet Sorbet flowers, I added Adhesive-Backed Flowers (to "up" the Sweet Sorbet content!).

The die-cut panel is raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I tucked some Sweet Sorbet Baker's Twine underneath it, and wrapped it around the base layers a couple of times.  A bow made from the same twine was then attached with Glue Dots.

Here's a closer view, and of the sweet little Adhesive-Backed Heart that I added, to balance out the two on the sentiment strip:

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Kate Morgan:

  1. Oooh, I adore those sweet little hearts that you've used so perfectly on your card, especially the one nestled in above the bow. A really beautiful card.

  3. Christine, your gorgeous vase of flowers is just perfect for a get well card and I love the addition of those shiny hearts. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Everyday Details stamp set is actually carrying over as an online product so you' ll be able to create more stunning cards like this after the current catalogue ends.

  4. What a sweet card, Christine. The DSP selection creates a beautiful backdrop for your scripted sentiment and the vase of flowers. Love the adhesive backed flowers in the centre of your coloured flowers and the three little hearts too!
