STAMPIN' UP! ADORABLE OWLS BIRTHDAY CARD - COASTAL CABANA

 As the last day of this year's Sale-A-Bration promotion draws to a close, I'd like to share with you another birthday card featuring the Adorable Owls stamp set, and Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper.  You can get both of these products for FREE, only until the end of February, with qualifying Stampin' Up! orders - $90+ for the stamp set, and $180+ for the pack of 48 sheets of double-sided Designer Series Paper.  If you have some products you'd like to order, click on the "shop online now" button in my blog side bar (Australian residents only), or click on any of the thumbnail images at the bottom of my blog post.

I stamped the three owls on Basic White card, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  They're coloured mostly with Stampin' Blends markers, although the Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana "bits" were coloured using Stampin' Write markers (as those colours aren't available in the alcohol marker range).

On a Thick Basic White card base, I adhered a Basic White card panel, that's embossed with a Basics 3D embossing folder that will be released as an Online Exclusive in March.  The folder embosses large raised polka dots/bumps ... I've flipped it over so the debossed side shows, and it's a little like the dimpled surface of a golf ball.

I used a Picture This Die on the Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper, then sponged around the outer edges of the paper with Coastal Cabana ink.  

I stamped the sentiment, from the Amazing Year stamp set, on a strip of zigzag-patterned paper, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  A Stylish Shapes Die was used to cut it out, and I tucked one end underneath the "birthday owl" that's popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  A few Classic Matte Dots were added beneath the sentiment.

Some little hearts were cut using an Around The Bend Die, from Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody card.  Using Fabulous Frames Dies, I cut a couple of photo corners from Basic Black card.

STAMPIN' UP! ADORABLE OWLS BIRTHDAY CARD - CALYPSO CORAL

 Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration, which means that if you place a $90+ Stampin' Up! order with me, you can earn the very cute Adorable Owls stamp set for free!  I have paired one of the sweet owl images with Dandy Designs Paper, also a Sale-A-Bration freebie.  This massive paper pack, containing 48 sheets of 12"x12" double-sided patterned paper, is free with a $180+ order.  The colours and patterns are gorgeous.  You'll see a few of them showcased today, as I will blog another card this afternoon.

After sponging Calypso Coral ink around the edges of the star-patterned paper, I added a layer of the checked paper that I'd matted on Smoky Slate card.  These layers were all stuck down to a Calypso Coral panel, and Black & White Gingham Ribbon wrapped around.

I coloured the owl using Stampin' Blends markers, adding some Smoky Slate dots to his face and tummy.  To colour his beak and feet, I used the Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker.  The Calypso Coral and black sentiments were created with Charming Sentiments and Adorable Owls stamp sets, using the Stamparatus on a piece of Basic White card.  A Harvest Die was used to cut them out.  Classic Matte Dots in black were added.

I heat-embossed, in white on Basic Black card, the longer sentiment from Artistically Inked.  Another Harvest Die was used to crop this piece.
