HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 2: LIGHTS AGLOW CHRISTMAS TREE

The card I've made for this week's Heart of Christmas blog hop shows off a few different patterns of the Lights Aglow 6"x6" Designer Series Paper.

How beautifully elegant is the colour scheme of Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Gold and Very Vanilla?

On Very Vanilla card, I stamped the Christmas tree twice - once in Soft Succulent ink, and again in Versamark ink, that I then heat-embossed in gold.  I cut out the middle section of the gold-embossed tree, and added it to the Soft Succulent tree.  I also die-cut the star from the top of the gold tree, and adhered it to my Soft Succulent tree.

Some of my favourite gold "bits" on the card ... the gorgeous garlands in the background DSP, the star atop the tree, and gold pearls.

I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink, on Soft Succulent card, and die-cut it using a Labels Aglow Die.

The scalloped rectangle of DSP, behind the tree, was cut using a Scalloped Contours Die, as was the big scalloped border in Gold Metallic Specialty paper.  Over the top of the gold scalloped piece, I lay a horizontal strip of Lights Aglow DSP, and a length of Gold Satin-Edged Ribbon.

Here you can better see the beautiful gold and Soft Succulent pearls:

Stunning card Christine! I love the effect you got from stamping the tree once in Soft Succulent and also in Gold. Those pearls are the perfect embellishment.

  9. Such a lovely card using gorgeous papers. Love how you have broken up the tree into the 2/3 different sections to add some dimension. I do love the festive pearls as they are lovely and shiny more so than others.

Ooh, I love it Christine. For some reason it reminds me of a wonderful Christmas tree on stage for a pantomime!
