JAI #321: STAMPIN' UP! WEATHER TOGETHER

Patrice has nominated Just Add Paper Piecing as this week's Just Add Ink challenge.

The cute umbrella in my new Weather Together stamp set was just crying out to be decorated in this way.  Have you tried paper piecing before?  It's a simple, but "wow", technique that involves stamping an image on patterned paper, cutting it out, and adhering it to the same outline image stamped on card.  By paper piecing sections, you can add fun and colour without having to actually colour in the image.

I have paper-pieced both the umbrella (in three sections) and the handle (that was a little fiddly!):

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, clicking on one of the thumbnail images will take you to my online store.

Make sure you check out the rest of the paper-pieced creations by the Just Add Ink Design Team.
