STAMPIN' UP! WONDROUS WREATH FOR MM #160

I have made a card for this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, which is to use newsprint on a Christmas card.

I stamped the gorgeous wreath, from Wondrous Wreath, directly onto a piece of Typeset Designer Series Paper.  Using Always Artichoke ink, I "stamped off" the image once onto scrap paper, then stamped it (without re-inking) onto the text panel.  I added a second layer of leaves in full-strength Always Artichoke, and berries in Cherry Cobbler.  A few rhinestones, coloured with Cherry Cobbler blendabilities, add a bit of sparkle to the otherwise rustic-looking wreath.

Here's a closer view of the sparkly berries:

It has been a while since I made a Christmas card, and I really enjoyed this challenge; I must make the effort to join in more often at Merry Monday.  It feels good to have Christmas cards made well in advance of the madness of November and December!

JAI #264: STAMPIN' UP! TAP TAP TAP, BOHEMIAN STYLE

It's a sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink this week.  Kim has provided the following sketch, to use as a starting point for a card, or other papercraft project:

I've used a bit of creative licence and used a square, rather than round, focal panel ... and have added a second 'banner'.  The soon-to-be-released (2nd June!) Bohemian Designer Series Paper features on my card, and dictates the colours I 've used.  The sweet little Blossom Accent (resin flower) is another sneak peek, available to buy (in a pack of embellishments in all of the new In Colors) from 2nd June.  The colour of the flower, Delightful Dijon, is a great complement to the Hello Honey quilted ribbon, don't you think?

I've listed below all the current Stampin' Up! products used on my card, but couldn't include the Designer Series Paper or Blossom Accent; they'll be available in my online store from 2nd June.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team's creations this week; gorgeous, as always!  I feel very lucky to be part of such a talented team.

STAMPIN' UP! BOHEMIAN/BOHO MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

A few days ago, a number of family members and long-time friends surprised my brother with a 50th birthday party.  He had no idea it was happening, thinking he was having a quiet dinner at my niece's house.  It's so nice to show people, in this way, how loved they really are!!

When the time came to make a card for the big occasion, I was determined to use the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper, Bohemian Borders stamp set, and Boho Chic embossing folder.  I might've in the end gone a little overboard with all the detail, but I'll share the end result with you anyway!

Most of the product used to make this card is not yet available to purchase; it comes out with the new catalogue on 2nd June (next week, yippee!).  Delightful Dijon, one of the new In Colours, goes really well with Island Indigo, don't you think?  I added in a bit of Blackberry Bliss - dark enough to be a "masculine" purple. :)

Listed below are the current Stampin' Up! products used on this card.  If you click on the thumbnail images, you will be taken direct to my online store.
