JAI #238 : ALL ABLOOM, BY STAMPIN' UP!

This week's Just Add Ink challenge, set by Kim, is to use the sketch below to make a card or scrapbook page:

As this is the last challenge of the month, we're giving you the chance to be a Guest Designer at Just Add Ink!  All you have to do is enter this week's challenge.  If your entry is chosen as the winner, you get to join the Design Team at Just Add Ink for the last challenge of next month!

I have used very little stamping on my card - in fact, only the sentiment is stamped.  I wanted to showcase the gorgeous All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, and it turns out I've let the paper do pretty much all the talking here!  I flipped the sketch, so the 'circular' piece (in my case, the handmade paper flower) is in the bottom right-hand corner.  Here's what I made, for our sweet little neighbour on the occasion of her 9th birthday recently:

Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's creations; and we'd love to have you play along!

STAMPIN' UP! MANY MERRY STARS - BABY BOY CARD

I have bought the Many Merry Stars stamp set, from Stampin' Up!'s Extra Special Christmas supplement ... essentially because I love any stamp set that co-ordinates with framelits or a punch!  I figure extra star stamps will always come in handy; they're not only great for Christmas, but for male cards or, as I've used them today, baby cards.

Don't you think stars and polka dots are just SO cute, for baby cards?  A very sweet friend of mine recently gave birth to the most divine little bubba.  I'd just received Many Merry Stars in the mail when it was time for me to make the card, so decided to take a break from Christmas card making, and use the set to celebrate the new arrival.  First, I stamped the large outline stars in Baked Brown Sugar, on Very Vanilla card.  I then used Soft Sky ink to overstamp the Dictionary stamp (a great 'space filler), and Dotty Angles.  To finish off decorating the large stars, I used Crumb Cake ink and the tiny star stamp from Many Merry Stars, randomly stamped over the other patterns.  I'm very happy with the cute end result.

Here's the finished card:

COASTAL BERMUDA CHRISTMAS BAUBLE

I coloured my Stampin' Up! Christmas Bauble, using Coastal Cabana Blendabilities - but the end colour result matched much better with Bermuda Bay cardstock and paper .... hence my wildly uncreative blog post title today!

I'm loving the little star punch in the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack; it makes a great embellishment for Christmas cards, and 'boy' cards.  Here's my mostly Bermuda Bay and silver card, with a few Basic Black touches:
