STAMPIN' UP! HEXAGON HIVE & STARBURST SAYINGS

On the weekend I had a play with a couple of new-to-me products.  Well, not so new - but unused.  I am such a 'collector' of Stampin' Up! products, and lately have been rather guilty of buying but not using a number of things.  I get a lot of enjoyment from having a craft room set up with so many supplies that it's like going shopping in my own personal shop! LOL.

I used Stampin' Up!'s beautiful coaster board (thinner than chipboard, but sturdier than cardstock) with the Hexagon Hive thinlits die; it cut beautifully.  I'd bought, but not inked up, the Tape It stamp set, so that formed the starting point of my card.  My Color Coach suggested I use Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi together - and I love it!  Here's what I came up with; a masculine card, which (as you may know) is my favourite kind of card to make:

Stamps: Tape It, Starburst Sayings
Card: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Coaster Board
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake
Other: Starburst framelits, Hexagon Hive thinlits die, Basics Glimmer brad, Finishing Touches edgelits die, Stripes embossing folder, sponge dauber

  3. Great card as always, Christine! You inspired me to get this thinlet so I hope to play with it this weekend. I really love the patterns you stamped with the Tape It set, it's a great visual effect with combined with the Honeycomb look.
