JAI #169: STAMPIN' UP!'S "MY FRIEND" SUNSET

This week at Just Add Ink, Delys has come up with an inspiration photo, that can be interpreted in any way you like to create a papercraft project.  Here's the pic:





I love the black silhouettes against the vivid colours of the sunset, so have recreated that look on my card.  I was going for a postcard/polaroid sort of look with this one.  Unfortunately I haven't quite managed to capture how vivid the colours really are.  I created the background by dripping ink onto watercolour paper, then spreading it horizontally with my aquapainter.




Stamps: My Friend, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card: Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolour paper
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise inks, Jet Black Staz-On inkpad, Basic Black marker, Versamark inkpad
Other: Black stampin' emboss powder, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Brights brads, Essentials Paper-Piercing pack, Paper-Piercing tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, aquapainter

    This is a gorgeous card- the black really pops against all the bright colours. I love how you have used the brads too.
