I am in love with the corduroy buttons from this mini catalogue, so I thought I'd show you a way to use them, on a simple card I made for my father-in-law's recent birthday. I was inspired by the 'dotty' pattern on the Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper I chose to use; the colours, and the size of the dots, were a perfect match for corduroy buttons. Here's a photo of the card (please excuse the 'rustic' look of the peeling paint on our balcony handrails!!):
Stamp: On Your Birthday
Card: Kraft, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze
Ink: Sahara Sand, Basic Gray
DSP: Kiwi Kiss Patterns, Urban Oasis
Other: Corduroy buttons (Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss), Basic Gray taffeta ribbon, sponge dauber
Now, for the second part of my post title ...
