JAI #346: STAMPIN' UP! WATERCOLOR WINGS

We've got a whole lot of "pretty" going on at Just Add Ink this week.  Here's the challenge, set by Nikki:

I have made a feminine birthday card, incorporating hearts and butterflies.  I've paired my Watercolor Wings stamp set (it's been a while since it has seen ink!), with the new Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.  After recently proclaiming my "circle phobia", I set myself a personal challenge to use circles on this card - and I'm loving the layout!  I think I can happily say I'm no longer averse to using circular elements on cards.  The Stitched Shapes framelits, and Layering Circles dies (in this case, scalloped circles), work so beautifully together, don't they?

You must check out the rest of the Design Team's creations; they are a-ma-zing.  We'd love to see what you can come up with for this week's challenge, so don't be afraid to link up your papercraft project on the Just Add Ink site!

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, just click on one of the thumbnail images, to be taken to my online store (for Australian residents only).

  1. So very soft & pretty, Christine & glad you've embraced the circles again as it works so well with your butterfly & sentiment. Great layout. I can't stop picking up those stitched shapes :D We must have been on a similar wavelength this week as I was going to use the same paper, then chose a different print in the pack.
Hope you have a happy day.
    Hugs, D

  3. Water Colour Wings is one of my all time favourite stamp sets and I love the dsp and the double bow of bakers twine. The Scalloped Circles go with the Stitched Shaped framelits perfectly, even more so when it's helped you get over your fear of using them in your work. I also love the three enamel hearts on the butterflies body. All in all it's a beautiful card - one of my three favourites for this 'Choose Two!' challenge.
