JAI #317: A COLOUR CHALLENGE

We have a beautiful (Spring-like, I think) colour combo to work with, at Just Add Ink this week, thanks to Kim.

I have used a number of new Stampin' Up! products on my card.  I'm a sucker for the enamel shapes (I've run out of one colour already!), and love that the new paper doilies are a little smaller, and better sized for a card front.

After colouring my stamped images with blender pens, I painted clear Wink of Stella over the bird ... here is a better view:

Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's creations over at Just Add Ink.  We'd love for you to combine these colours on a papercraft project, and share with us on the Just Add Ink site!

Listed below are the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you click on one of the thumbnail images, you'll be taken direct to my online store.

STAMPIN' UP! BLOOMS & BLISS

Some of my favourite products in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue are in the Blooms & Bliss suite.  I am completely in love with the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper, and have made a couple of simple cards to show it off.

The only stamping on my first card is the sentiment.  I've added some ribbon, and an enamel heart in one of the flower centres, but it's the patterned paper that's the star of this card:

Here are all of the products used to make the card (if you click on any of the thumbnail images, you'll be taken to my online store, where you can purchase them for yourself):

The next card I have to share with you is using some of the other gorgeous papers in the Blooms & Bliss pack.  I can see myself buying another pack of this, very soon!

I stamped (first onto scrap paper, then the "second generation" impressions onto my sentiment oval) some of the flowers and leaves from Blooms & Wishes, to co-ordinate with the background paper.  The sentiment was stamped, full strength, over the top of my subtle images.  I fussy-cut two flowers from the Designer Series Paper, sponged the edges, and adhered them either side of the oval.
