This week at Just Add Ink, we have some images sourced by Nikki to use as inspiration for our papercraft project.  The Design Team have  made cards inspired by these pics, and we would love for you to do the same, and link up to the challenge on the Just Add Ink site.

I was inspired by the stripes in the candy canes and lollies, and by the deep red and (what look to me to be) silver baubles on the Christmas tree.

I inked my Brushstrokes background stamp with Whisper White craft ink, and stamped it onto a panel of Cherry Cobbler card.  I used my heat tool to dry the ink (it's slow-drying pigment ink, which is the arch nemesis of an impatient crafter!), then stamped baubles in Cherry Cobbler ink right over the top.  I like how subtle the stripes are - not the look I was originally going for, but it works for me!

Lots of Joy is my new favourite Christmas stamp set; I can see myself reaching for it often for my cards this year.  Here's my creation for this week's challenge:

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card; if you click on any of the thumbnail images, you can visit my online store, and purchase them for yourself, if you wish.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team samples over at Just Add Ink - they're beautiful!

  1. Hi Christine, Love your card, well done, Cheers Anna.

  2. The stripes add so much depth Christine - it looks like they've dry embossed. The silver looks stunning contrasted against the deep red tones too! xxx

  3. A gorgeous Christmas card Christine. xo

  4. I too, love those subtle background stripes. Had to laugh at your impatient crafter comment - I couldn't agree more! Lovely card, my friend. xx

  5. I just love this Christine! Your background stamping gives such a fanatstic vintage texture look that contrasts so well with your clean and crisp bauble and greeting. So stunning! xo

  6. I think the stripes with the baubles look amazing. I actually thought it was patterned paper!! Is a lovely backdrop for your silver and white tag. Beautiful card!

  7. Oh this is lovely! I love the richness of these colours and your tag is just fabulous!
