STAMPIN' UP! PLENTIFUL PLANTS THANKS CARD

One of my favourite new product lines in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is the Bloom Where You're Planted suite.  Today's card features the Plentiful Plants bundle (stamps and dies), and Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper.  I love the paper so much that I created most of the card with it - the only stamping is the sentiment.

The pots have been die-cut from the papers, and the plants die-cut and fussy-cut from the papers.  Look how cute they are!

I stamped the sentiment in Early Evergreen ink, on Mint Macaron card, and cut it out using a Stitched So Sweetly die.  Champagne Rhinestones are a nice colour match to the light "terracotta" pot.

I've listed below all the products used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

STAMPIN' UP! PENNED FLOWERS IN COLOR THANKS CARD

The card I have to share with you today features Fresh Freesia, and Soft Succulent - two of my favourite new In Colors.

I started off by die-cutting some flowers and leaves from Linen Specialty Paper, using Penned Flowers Dies.  I used two different mediums to colour the Linen Paper.  The leaves were coloured with Blending Brushes and my Soft Succulent inkpad. I was a little heavy-handed with the ink application, so they came out darker than I'd intended!  I used Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends markers to colour the flowers.

The Basic White background panel has been embossed with the Checks & Dots embossing folder (the latter of the two, obviously).  I die-cut some Basic White leaf sprays, using the Penned Flowers Dies, and adhered them to the background before then sticking down the Linen Paper flowers and leaves.  To the centres of a few flowers I added Loose Flower Flourishes.  I really like these sweet embellishments.

The sentiment was stamped in Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White card, that I then cropped using a Tasteful Labels Die.  The gingham paper is from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper pack, and the bow was created using Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.

AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 50: SOFT SUEDE

Tonight's Colour Creations Showcase, featuring Soft Suede, marks the end of our 50 weeks of sharing cards made with Stampin' Up!'s range of colours in alphabetical order.  If you go over to Cathy's blog, you will find a comprehensive list of everyone taking part in this week's showcase.

Soft Suede evokes strong thoughts of masculine projects for me.  I had a die-cut tree, cut from Soft Suede card, on my craft table, so used that as my starting point for the card I am sharing with you tonight.  Using my Stamparatus, I inked up the Stacked Stone background stamp in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it off onto scrap paper, then stamped it onto a piece of Very Vanilla card.  I wanted a subtle stamped impression, and am pleased with the result.   I knew I wanted to place the tree in the bottom right-hand section of my card front, so I stamped the splotchy (blossom?) stamp from Beauty of Friendship, onto the Very Vanilla panel using Bermuda Bay ink, around the area that the bare-branched tree would go.

I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card to the width of my Very Vanilla panel, and used a Curvy Die to create a decorative top edge.  I stamped, in Crumb Cake ink, the grounding stamp for my tree to sit on.  Using Bermuda Bay ink, I also stamped the splotchy images on this piece of card.  I then embossed the Crumb Cake piece with a Meadow Moments embossing folder, sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink, and added some Soft Suede leaves cut using the tiny leaf Meadow Dies.

After sticking down the "ground" piece, and the tree, I sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink.  I mounted this main panel onto a piece of Pool Party cardstock, and sponged the edges of that layer with Soft Suede ink.

The sentiment, from You Are Amazing, was stamped in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card.  I cropped it with a Tasteful Labels die, which I raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  The twine wrapped around the card is Snail Mail Twine, that was white - I coloured it using the Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends marker.  A little Soft Suede die-cut bird, adhered to the raised sentiment label, finishes off my card.

Because I have used a Soft Suede card base, I decorated the inside after adding a Very Vanilla card panel.

We hope you enjoy checking out everyone's Soft Suede creations this week.  Make sure you hop over to Cathy's blog, to get the links to everyone's blog posts.  Next week we will be taking part in a special blog hop, showcasing all five of the new In Colors that joined Stampin' Up!'s range last month.
