STAMPIN' UP! GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA - WATERCOLOURED THINKING OF YOU CARD

I've had fun doing some messy, unstructured, watercolouring of the large magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  Essentially the technique is "no line" watercolouring, as I stamped the image faintly in Sahara Sand ink, onto watercolour paper, then laid down some fairly heavy colour, not differentiating between petails.  Even though the colour of the flower looks quite like Melon Mambo, the ink colour I used was Rich Razzleberry!  I used drops of reinkers, on an acrylic block, and Aquapainters, to achieve this look:

The white top panel has been embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder.  I coloured some Clear Epoxy droplets with the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them from my online store, just click on one of the thumbnail images below.  I'd love for you to shop with me, if you live in Australia, and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

In a couple of days I will have another watercoloured magnolia card to share with you; it's my favourite of the two, so I hope you will check back in!

STAMPIN' UP! BIRD BALLAD LASER-CUT CARD WITH GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA

Stampin' Up! have outdone themselves, with the beautiful laser-cut cards in the Bird Ballad suite of products.  They are so delicate, and versatile, and I am also in love with the accompanying envelopes, that have a scalloped flap.

The flower on today's card was stamped onto Fluid 100 watercolour paper, with StazOn ink, then coloured with Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens  The pencil colours I used are Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Early Espresso.  I backed the lacy panel with a leaf-patterned paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, and decorated the envelope flap with the same paper.  My photography doesn't do it justice, but here is the card:

... and the decorated envelope:

I couldn't help myself - I've been back playing with Good Morning Magnolia again, and will have some more cards to show you in the next few days!

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products I used on this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, and you live in Australia, I'd love for you to shop with me.  Just click on any of the thumbnail images below, to get to my online store.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope you have a great week ahead!

STAMPIN' UP! GEARED UP GARAGE BIRTHDAY CARD IN BERMUDA BAY

My first love, in cardmaking, is masculine cards.  You wouldn't know it, with the prolific creating I've been doing lately, with floral images!  Today we're taking a break in the flower card transmission, for me to share a masculine card I made with a colour scheme I wanted to try.   It didn't turn out quite as I had pictured in my head, but I'm okay with it.  It was good to have a play with some stamp sets I have neglected for a while.

The grungy stamp on the left hand side of the front panel was stamped first in Terracotta Tile, then overstamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  It's a little hard to tell from the photo, but there is a knot in the black satin ribbon ... and the gears are die cut from Black Foil.  I coloured the car with Stampin' Blends.  The whole Whisper White panel, after being stamped, was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, and I have lightly sponged around the edges of that panel with Basic Gray ink.

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, and I would love for you to shop with me if you live in Australia ad don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  You can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
