STAMPIN' UP! FAVORED FLOWERS BIRTHDAY CARD #3

 Here's the third birthday card in my Favored Flowers series ... we're half way there!  After this, I may switch to some other cards to break up the birthday monotony for a day or two.

The background of my card is two of the patterned papers from the Favored Flowers pack, and the roses are all hand-cut from another sheet.

I stamped the sentiments, using my Stamparatus and the Amazing Year stamp set once again, on Basic White card.  I used Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss inkpads, stamping each of the sentiments a few times to get good colour intensity.  After stamping, I used the Framed Florets Dies, to cut the oval centrepiece, and the fancy frame.  The oval was run through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, using a Basics 3D embossing folder that will be released exclusively online in March.

After laying down some Evening Evergreen Windowpane Checked Ribbon, I glued down the outer frame, and popped up the oval on Stampin' Dimensionals.  The roses were adhered to the raised oval, and I used Black Stampin' Dimensionals under the outer edges of those pieces.

STAMPIN' UP! FAVORED FLOWERS BIRTHDAY CARD #2

Today I am sharing another birthday card using the flowers I cut from Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper, that is FREE with a $90+ Stampin' Up! purchase until the end of February.

Blackberry Bliss is a colour I don't normally gravitate towards, but I love the richness and drama of it in these papers.  I've used a couple of different designs from the paper pack, to create the background on my card, and affixed a single hand-cut bloom as an accent (or is it a feature?) on the sentiment panel.

Across the join of the floral background paper, with the geometric-patterned paper, I laid a length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, and added a bow once I had secured the sentiment panel.

The lovely big sentiment, from the Amazing Year stamp set, was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink, using the Stamparatus, on a Deckled Rectangle of Basic White card.  After stamping the image, I ran the die-cut rectangle through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, using a Basics 3D embossing folder that will be coming out in March.

After gluing the large rose and leaves to my card front, I added some Basic Rhinestones that I'd coloured using my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends marker.

STAMPIN' UP! FAVORED FLOWERS BIRTHDAY CARD #1

 Hello!  After three months away from crafting, due to surgery, I have been able to make it into my craft room to have a play with some Sale-A-Bration items that are available for only a few more days.  I was determined to use them while they're still available!

A few weeks ago, when I started to feel like doing "something", but couldn't easily access my craft room, I cut up some of the beautiful Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper that is on offer until the end of February.  This gorgeous, dramatic, paper is free with a Stampin' Up! order of $90 or more.

Here's the pile of flowers I ended up with, after a session of fussy cutting in the sun:

This past week I have managed to make a number of cards, using the hand-cut flowers.  I won't get them all blogged while the papers are still current, but I will in the coming days share some ideas for using these glorious floral papers.  Here's the first card I made:

I started by covering the front of a Thick Basic White card, with some Fresh Freesia DSP from the Favored Flowers pack.

I cut, from Evening Evergreen card, a leafy panel using one of the lovely Around The Bend Dies.  I also cut a Basic White panel with the die, but cut the leaves off, so I could layer the white piece on top.  Before gluing it down, I used the Stitched Greenery Die to add detail.

The sentiments, from the Amazing Year stamp set, were stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White card, using the Stamparatus.  I used a Potted Succulents Die to cut out the sentiment, and added In Color Opal Rounds to the card front.

Along the curved leafy edge, I adhered a number of the roses and leaves that I'd hand cut.  I added a bow made with Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.
