This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Balmy Blue. I know it's more fashionable at the moment for baby clothes and cards to be in more gender-neutral tones, but I like this soft blue for a baby card.
My favourite waving bear, from the Happier Than Happy bundle, features on my card - because he's cute! I stamped the bear in Soft Suede ink on Basic White card, then cut him out using the co-ordinating die. Using a Stylish Shapes Die, I cut a circle from a piece of Happy Forest Friends DSP, and mounted it on a Thick Basic White die-cut circle for stability.
On a panel of Sahara Sand card, I adhered a different piece of Happy Forest Friends DSP, and a piece of Balmy Blue DSP (from the 6"x6" Subtles Collection). I laid a length of Natural Finish Ribbon across the join of the papers, and tied a Linen Thread knot around it. The circles are raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using my Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends marker, I coloured some Basic Pearls to tie in with the colour scheme.
